Jennifer N. Hoskins received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a major in accounting, and a Master’s Degree in Professional Accounting from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida. Jennifer has successfully completed the requirements for the CPA (Certified Public Accountant) designation in the state of Florida. She has been with Nearman, Maynard, Vallez, CPAs, P.A., since she received her Master’s Degree in 1994. Jennifer has successfully completed the requirements for the CAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist) designation.

As a Partner, Jennifer's responsibilities include planning and coordinating various projects as well as all phases of audit engagements. During the fieldwork, she follows the progress of the engagement, resolving accounting and auditing problems as they arise and discussing any specific concerns of the Supervisory Committee. Jennifer also presents the audit results to the Supervisory Committee, Management, and Board of Directors at our exit briefing. When the fieldwork is completed, Jennifer supervises the preparation of the financial statements and reports on operations and reviews the audit workpapers. She is also responsible for ensuring the audit teams comply with professional and regulatory announcements, including the firm’s quality control standards. Jennifer also provides consulting services to our clients, such as internal auditing, NACHA compliance audits, Bank Secrecy Act audits, assurance services, and other special work as required.

Jennifer is also the firm's network administrator. The primary objective of this role is to maintain and enhance the technology used by the firm, keeping up-to-date with changes in the industry. In this role she also looks for innovative solutions using technology to provide better service to our clients.

As a Partner, Jennifer helps the firm develop new services to meet client needs and develops marketing programs to inform and present those services to clients. She is responsible for creating all of the firm’s marketing materials, to include the firm's website at, and is the editor of and contributes to the firm’s newsletter, “The Auditor’s Report.”

Jennifer conducts training sessions for her peers on new accounting pronouncements. In addition, she conducts training for Board and volunteer members and has been a speaker at Credit Union conferences and workshops.
