Lynn Franzosa received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Organization Behavior and Management from Brown University and her Masters degree in Accounting from Florida International University. She is a Florida CPA and a member of the AICPA and the FICPA. Lynn also completed the National Association of Federal Credit Unions’ Regulatory Compliance School and has earned the NAFCU Certified Compliance Officer (NCCO) designation. Lynn has more than twenty years of accounting and auditing experience, having served in a management capacity for several large companies in various industries. She began her auditing career with Deloitte & Touche LLP, in Miami, FL. Lynn joined Nearman, Maynard, Vallez, CPAs in March 2006 and currently holds the position of Partner in charge of the Special Work and Pension departments.
As a Partner, Lynn's responsibilities include planning and coordinating various projects as well as all phases of special work and pension engagements. She follows the progress of the engagement, resolving accounting and auditing problems as they arise and discussing any specific concerns of the client. Lynn also presents the audit results to the Supervisory Committee, Management, and Board of Directors at exit briefings. When the audit is completed, Lynn supervises the preparation of the reports and reviews the audit workpapers. Lynn also provides internal audit and compliance audit services.
